At some point the Clan-Fleets of the Sea Dwarves came to the conclusion that their various oral traditions should be recorded for the future. Prayerwrights and representatives from each tribe were interviewed by carefully chosen scribes. The resuting work is very large, and has never been mass-produced in any form but abridged, so people without access to the original (access is rather limited) must read several diferent versions to get the full picture, and even then that may not be enough. Some of the stuff indicated by the title is left out in almost every edition.

The rather lengthy title is a result of compromise between the various tribes represented.
