Legendary Beasts
There are a number of creatures that are said to exist and have been crafted by the gods as "experiments". It is unknown if they do actually exist, but each race has their own variant on the legendary creature.
The Forest Dwarves legendary beast supposedly originated before they did. It loosely resembles a hawk, and it has no legs. Poisonous mist surrounds it and a common dream among these dwarves is having it tear out their eyes with its beak.
The legendary beast of the Mountain Dwarves is not based on an animal. The creature spends most of the time beneath the planet's crust. If angered, the spirit composed of magma rises to knead the Dwarve's intricate stonework. In fact, the most serious tunnel and cave collapses have been blamed on the beast. Those responsibe for the destroyed areas are particularly in favour of this theory, rather than suggesting poor mantainance on their part.
This mysterious monster is formed from the souls of deceased relic hunters. Its left side is that of a squid while its right side is that of a bear.
This being comes from the past. It vaguely resembles a mouse, and it has four tails. It appears to be composted of crystal.
This monster comes from another dimension. It vaguely recalls the form of a jaguar, and it has shortened legs and feet.
The humans legendary beast is a bizarre being mutated from mankind some time in the past. It looks like an artistic merger of a manta ray and a woman. Its body seems strangely flattened, almost like cloth or paper. Humans do not fear it and it seems to be slipping from human stories, but it still features in many old paintings and murals.
This strange monster comes from another world. It reminds one of a shrew and has the legs of a turtle. It seems to be hollow, as if it is more of an outfit than a living creature. Spheres of sky-blue light hover around it.
The Western Orcs believed in a strange monster that was the incarnation of living people's fury. It looked like a weird fusion of a dragonfly and a anteater and had transparent skin leaving its innards clearly visible. Towards the end of Western Orc society, many individuals believed that it was this monster that had caused their downfall.
From a young age, Snow Minotaurs are warned of a golden-haired predatory creature somewhat resembling a bear. The most notable feature is the creature's shaggy, golden fur. If a Snow Minotaur spied a fleck of gold in their vision they would undoubtedly press their face to the floor. For gazing into the eyes of this legendary beast is to risk corrupting the peaceful instincts of the race. This explains why details of the beast are sketchy past the distinctive coat.
