Sunset in the Kingdom of Dark Stones

Territory

The Kingdom's territory is largely grassland- gently rolling prairies which seem to move eerily even when no wind blows. Large black rocks, perfectly spherical and polished to a shine that seems to resist any and all weathering, dot the plain at odd intervals, granting the kingdom its name.

On the western edge of the Kingdom lies a low range of mountains which slope gently upwards and end in precipitous cliffs on the west coast of Thass. To the north are intermittent patches of dense boreal rainforest.

People

The people of the Kingdom of Dark Stones are primarily Humans but there are three other races in great numbers: Shadow Lilithians, Lizardmen and Forest Dwarves. There are small colonies of Southern Orcs and Grand Lilithians too.

Technology

Government

The kingdom is currently ruled by The Purple King, Ehosapiel Etsarah Diruhar; it should be noted that his title is little more than an ironic nickname- while he has some noble lineage, he is not a member of the royal family (which has been quiescent for generations anyway), and he is, in fact, a radical- almost revolutionary- populist who came to power with the backing of the majority of the people.

Queen Jonthiu is technically the head of state, but her position is completely ceremonial.

Culture

Among other things, the kingdom's capitol, Tufoi is notable as the birthplace of the Cazbid Buzz, a lively and vibrant style of music and performance art.
