Strange, artificial creatures, perfect replications of natural honeybees, only made entirely of glass and copper. Their hives can actually function as complex calculators, with the dances of individual bees used to track variables.

Also, they produce an odd, opalescent honey which, while thoroughly inedible, can be dried and used as a gemstone or a rather good aquarium sealant.
